The Audi History Wall

When Audi Australia wanted to celebrate their 100 year history, they approached Brilliant Prints, looking for a contemporary, sophisticated way to recognize this history in their showrooms around Australia. The end result was a series of 10 ICEMounts that told the story of the evolution of Audi, from 1899 till 2009. The 200cm x 60cm panels look modern and clean, really complementing the feel that Audi achieves in its showrooms.

The process began with Audi creating the artwork for the panels. This was then sent to Brilliant Prints, where it was printed on archival photographic paper. The images were carefully mounted to the 8mm thick cast acrylic sheets. The edges of each sheet were planed, sanded, buffed and then diamond polished to give a glass-like edge. Annodised aluminum mounting bolts were then installed in the panels to allow easy mounting.

Once finished, the sets of panels were shipped around Australia.

According to the Audi National Dealer Development Consultant, “Audi Australia ordered the first installation as a test, and were so impressed with the ice mount finish that it became a national standard for all showrooms across Australia”
